Suze..I have the same issue…a woman who has been stalking and harassing me for a couple of years now and twitter has only made her worse. I am now having to spend my precious time on legal actions to stop this woman.

How about the reverse? “True stalkers” who become Twitter stalkers? I was recently Twitter stalked, very slyly, by a woman who’s been stalking and harassing my friend for years. When I realized what was going on I reported her. I’m not sure what’s happening there. I haven’t heard anything yet. But her Twitter page is gone. Could be she’s just gone underground, as I’ve had to do. I’m disappointed because I was using Twitter to network and enjoying it. Now I hardly tweet anymore. Just not the same when you can’t even be yourself.

I had to go private about a year ago because of a stalker. At first it seemed harmless that someone just *happened* to be at the Starbucks I mentioned on Twitter or near a restaurant for dinner my husband and I were going on a date at and just magically was always there. Then the emails started and I didn’t recognize that it was spinning out of control because I’m a hostess by nature, but the end of the story is that I had to go private after he got aggressive and I hate being private, but the creepies don’t show up randomly any more.

This this is pretty scary. Once I tweeted “Sleepless nights, drowsy days” and I got three tweet replies regarding some insomnia drugs. Hell, I did not want those drugs. I was just tweeting about myself.
