When I first started using Twitter, I was mislead by others that #1 was just the way things worked on Twitter. Lame. I am now recovering from this misleading advice.

I now try and publish original thoughts to my blog and actually start conversations with people that I find interesting. Sometimes these people follow me, sometimes they don't, but the conversations are usually still very interesting - and isn't that what it's all about anyway?

Its funny how the truth hurts sometimes...lol....but I have developed some online relationships with other colleagues and have joined some programs that I saw being tweeted. In the end Twitter is a great tool..you just have to know how to use it
Live long and prosper is not just for Vulcans.

I must admit that when I first started out I tried using #6, only to discover that it just lead me to useless followers and other marketers.

No internet fame to speak of so I am trying to build up followers by initiating conversations :)

I believe there's a 7th reason you get new followers: They want to sell you something. and hope you'll follow them in return. If you do you can be sure you'll get lots of junk mail.

TWIMC, I get new follows after my every update, but I only follow those that mean something to me personally. :-)

Every once in a while I'll get a surprise like 300 people following me. I don't know which technique works because I do a few of them. All FREE! Speaking of techniques those that use Twitter Traffic Machine irk me the most but also puzzle me. Either the vendors are making a lot of money or people are finding it on Clickbank and promoting it and the vendors are not making money but it's hard to believe that the afilliate marketers are making anything because the twitter ads for this product have saturated the timeline.

So, this blog post was completely a non post with no value. Nothing wrong with Twitterfollower.com. You don't have to put your name on the list and Twitterfollower doesn't spam you, someone who follows you spams you. It's up to you to vet your followers for spammers. If you want to follow everyone who follows you then why not, it's free.

Tweet Later has an auto follow function, does that make it a twitter spammer. BTW, the only way you see spam is if you use the web interface. Use a 3rd party app like TweetDeck or Seesmic Desktop to filter who you actually see in your list. I have 800+ followers, but don't follow all of them in Seesmic desktop. Do you think Darren watches all the updates of all the people he follows? Please get real.
