I tweeted about him, to mention a blog post I wrote about his death, as well as to the extent that his death did have an impact on me personally. Thing is, I tend to include personal bits here and there in my tweets because that’s my philosophy with social networking in general. i.e. the “social” part of social networking means letting people get to know you as a whole person. Business is certainly the main focus (for me at least), but you have to share yourself beyond that to build your brand, contradictory as that might sound.

No rocks here, but I still didn’t tweet about any of the celebrity deaths that have happened recnetly, including Michael Jackson’s. I enjoy reading celebrity gossip blogs, and I think maybe they just put me into information overload so I didn’t feel the need to say anything about it.

MJ’s death didn’t have a great effect on me, so that’s most likely part of the reason I kept quiet as well.

I didn’t tweet about him at all and on the day he died ended up closing twitter for the rest of the day because it all started to get so old. I’ve never really understood the brouhaha around celebrity deaths.

The only Tweet from me was that I hadn’t realized that Michael Jackson – the Beer Hunter Guy – had died a couple of years ago. I always enjoyed his books and living in the US his death wasn’t reported.

Wacko Jacko, the singer who made a few decent songs nearly 30 years ago, didn’t hold any interest for me.
