I think the retweet says something the person who does it, often more than their actual tweets!

I retweet ProBlogger and Shoemoney stuff all the time. Especially contest that I find about retweeting that I think followers will want to take part in.

I retweet daily.

Now I can put my twitter id while commenting. Thats nice feature. Which plugin allow it to do so.

I often feel that the people following me would have already seen what I was retweeting, so I tend not to bother.

To some extent there does seem little point in telling people articles they have no doubt already seen. But with the same card, the amount you retweet should be dependent on the groups that you follow. Whilst myself I follow several high profile web designers and UK tech journalists, I know that some do not and some of the tweets they may be interested in.

I think it is all a balance on what kind of followers you have and the potential of interest if such a thing is seen.

Retweeting is an ideal way to give people information that I couldn’t find my self. For that reason I use a rss feed alert from Twitter search to find tweets concerning art.

I do ReTweet but I don’t really have the ReTweet mindset where I see something I like and automatically RT, it usually has to be something amazing or a request from a friend.

I love to ReTweet anything I find interesting that may also interest and/or benefit my readers. I also like to ReTweet because it helps out the person I am ReTweeting.

Initially, I was rather suspicious of a steady does of RTs. Actually struck me as a waste of bandwidth in the sense that, well, it’d already been done. But then I got to thinking how people who follow me may not follow someone who’s tweeted something terrific. So, even tho’ I prefer to hang my hat on having something of my own to say, I have to agree with Ari, who makes the perfects analogy about hearing and re-telling a good joke, and Cal, who properly points out the power of retweeting, as well as reminding me that it can actually be a courtesy.
