Alright, folks… crunch time. The end of 2009 is near, and you know that for virtually everyone who actually celebrates one holiday or another in December, it can get crazed.
We’ve heard of surgeons using Twitter while in the operating room, airplane passengers Twittering during a flight emergency, people raising money to fight cancer… all amazing things in their own rights without a doubt.
But what about the hectic holidays? First, answer in the comments how you think Twitter can help with holiday preparations, and then vote in the poll as to if you’ve already experienced the “Miracle of Twitter” this holiday season.
Has Twitter Helped You With Your Holiday Preparations?

I tweeted to find out what people would buy themselves as a Christmas gift, I have a list of results and it’s helping me to shape my Christmas flavoured blog posts…
Yay for Twitter and Mince Pies!
@freenuts
I just got a lot of ideas by searching Christmas on twitter.

I’ve discovered terrific and new resources for Advent (its own season and not pre-Christmas) from faith-based folk I follow on Twitter. Resources include: music, meditations, calendars and prayers.

I was doing a practice run on a turkey & giblet gravy. Found a gravy recipe online that just looked odd so I twasked about it. Someone tweeted an explanation quickly.

I can’t say I’ve tried using twitter to help me this holiday season.. yet!
Unfortunately I’ve probably left it a little late to find presents on the internet in time to be shipped here in Australia before the big day but I may be able to find some ideas on twitter and local places for gifts and deals.
Wouldn’t have thought of that till I read this post – so thanks
My gift-buying method is usually listening, brainstorming and then spending the day at the shops!

Twitter indeed can be a great tool to plan for holiday by searching for the LATEST about your destination, promotions, discussions, events even celebrity sightings!
I blogged about this along with how to use other search technology to plan for our holiday here!

Gives you something to do on your phone while you’re standing in those long Christmas-gift-buying lines at Walmart.
