Here are a couple of really good Twitter apps you may have missed:

TvvitterBug 1.6 Released on the App Store today. http://www.tvvitterbug.com
A lighthearted iPhone Twitter App with all the core Twitter functionality you'd expect without the excessively complicating feature-stuffing you'll probably rarely use.

SneakyTweet 1.2 Released on the App Store today: http://www.applgasm-apps.com/sneakytweet/
A unique iPhone Twitter App that makes Twitter more entertaining and more useful, with features like GeoAnywhere, StreamingTweets, and TweetSecrets.

Both are worth taking a look at.

Check-out http://www.tvvitterbug.com. Release 1.5 just came out this week, and it comes with some interesting (WDYW2B) Geo-location capabilities worth taking a look at. Slide show and demo video available on the website.

Nice article!

I think the Twitter client landscape has changed in 2010. New approaches and design strategies have yielded some remarkable new Twitter clients.

TvvitterBug 1.3 is currently in the approval process for release on the App Store this week. This release brings together the culmination of all the features, capabilities, and functionality most sought after in an iPhone/iPod Twitter App, including:

1. All of the power you want, without the complexity you don’t.
2. Five (TvvitterBug exclusive) user-customizable Tweet Views.
3. Up to Five user accounts easily accessible from any view.
4. Persistent Tweets between launchings so you can view your tweets anytime.
5. Double-Tap Instant Update to easily and quickly refresh your tweet views on demand.
6. Built-in Photo capabilities to add photos directly to your tweets.
7. Built-in Translation support using any of the state-of-the-art web translation engines you choose, such as Google Translate, Yahoo Babelfish, or Promt Translator.
8. Built-in Web Access to view tweet embedded pictures and other URLs.
9. Editable User Profile, including setting a new Avatar picture.
10. Support for both “Fixed” and “Editable” Retweets – you choose.
11. Landscape support for both Views and Keyboard.
12. Automatic Language detection and display – great when you’re surfing!
13. The same ease-of-use and lightning fast operation as the original version.

I think your readers would be interested in learning more about TvvitterBug from your review.

Nambu is exactly what I was looking for - but more so for its FriendFeed support than just Twitter.

I use Tweetsville on my iPhone, and it works pretty well for my needs. Starts a little slow, and doesn't handle multiple accounts very well, but it does almost everything else very well. I like that it has separate areas for DMs and replies, and you can retweet pretty easily as well. It's probably the most feature packed Twitter client without being overly busy, so it's the one that gets my recommendation.

I've used a bunch of these, and like them a lot, but there's one thing that's killing me- nothing seems to have landscape support. For any kind of sustained typing, I NEED landscape mode, and no Twitter app seems to have one. Otherwise, I've grown to love Twitterfon. Thanks for the list!

Darren, take a look at my iPhone Twitter App comparison chart and let me know if I've missed any criteria that you think are important.

I also use TwitterFon on my iPod Touch and, like the other, I would highly recommend it. It's fast, simple, and free.
