It gives me instant insight to see if the person is a spammer trying to promote the next best make money on Twitter thing (I can then unfollow them instantly)... or if it's a genuine person with a blog, or website or who shares valuable tools, information, entertainment or whatever else floats my boat... Solving a problem you created doesn't make you a hero :) Also, doesn't this only opt you out of automated DM's sent by their system? It's the same with several other services I've set up, so the only problem I see by eliminating all auto-DMs is that other future services (like productivity tools, follower management, etc) that I have to set up via auto DM are limited. Other than that, it's a pretty frickin cool tool that allows me to remain connected with someone but filter their spam away without a worry! I love this idea BUT think about it from this angle:
