I have known of the Twitter client at MSN not so long before now, but, I find TweetCloud okay. I just don't like TC. Oh, and, I am trying out ChirBit.
How is it for you?

Tweetcloud seems pretty cool. Makes it really easy to see what is happening at the moment. I'm going to try out the IM client trick and see how it works.

Just a comment on point 3: Tweetcloud’s goal is to quickly show users “what’s being said” across the Twittersphere or from a specific Twitter user through an intuitive interface (a cloud). Useful for searching #hashtags...

While it is true that Tweetcloud is very useful to show “what’s being said”, it is not suitable to search for what has been said long(er) ago. This is also true for twittersearch.
To search for older hashtags one can still use http://hashtags.org/tag/....
