A lot of people see me, you and others “Tweet” and wonder why they should get involved. I am asked this question at least once per week. Twitter is a great, great platform that we can all use to make a big difference in our lives if use it well. Here are some ways that I use Twitter to help me that you can use, too, and become a much happier person.

1. Tweet to help people that you wouldn’t otherwise reach.

Be intentional about sharing wisdom and lessons you’ve learned in life. You might do this in concert with a blog or not, but either way, you’ll feel better knowing that there is someone out there benefiting from something you’ve learned. They might be on the other side of the planet, but they’ll appreciate knowing someone else has gone through what they’re experiencing.

2. Tweet your goals and allow people to provide accountability.

I like to Tweet about things with which I need help or encouragement. Twitter can give you the powerful benefit of positive peer pressure. For example, when you have planned to workout or skip the buffet today, tell people about it. There will usually be a number of people who will reply with encouragements and even tips to help you with your challenge. It also helps you to know that people are going to be expecting results from you.

3. Tweet to direct people to your business and generate sales.

This is an easy one so I won’t dwell on it. However, after you begin building a following, you’ll discover that a number of people will simply want to know what you do for a living. Just tell them. They may have been looking for you all along. They already know and trust you now, so building trust to lead to a sale won’t be as necessary.

4. Tweet to wind down.

Tweeting when you’re pissed off, frustrated or otherwise needing to rant is a great thing – just watch some of your language – and it can be a lot less destructive than putting your fist through a wall or yelling at your spouse. Tweets live forever, so keep it clean. It’s well known that it’s better to let it out rather than keep it in, so use all caps if you need to do so!

5. Make friends.

I believe that we are who we spend time with. I’ve been intentional to seek out and follow and interact with people who are going where I want to go in life. In your regular life, it might be difficult to find people who create barcode art. Twitter allows you to expand your reach. Surely there are other people around the globe with your interests – no matter how obscure.

I have done all of the above. I have found that using Twitter throughout my day and my week actually ENHANCES my week by increasing my focus on productivity. This is in contrast to other social networking sites that often require a lot more energy of me than I get back in benefits.

Get to Tweeting! Tweeting with purpose can benefit you a lot!

So you’re a student in a college and you’ve picked up Twitter like everybody else in this social networking trend. However, Twitter is much different than Facebook or even LinkedIn. It’s more of a barbecue-type setting between professionals. Look, I didn’t believe it either, that was until I secured a very desirable internship in my field last summer because of Twitter. So how do you use Twitter to progress professionally? Simple, begin with these four basic steps, and expand accordingly.

1.) Start searching for and following twitter accounts that post internships and jobs. Both in your desired field, and general ones as well. Internship Queen has a ton of internships she posts, along with tips for finding ones.

2.) Search for and follow twitter accounts by respected members of that field, as well as companies, and business groups. For example, if you’re interested in PR work follow local PRSSA groups, follow PRSAJobCenter, follow people you know that are PR Gurus.

3.) Clean up your twitter, no more “Going to ____ bar tonight, PARTY!”. Make it professional. Start posting interesting articles that you find online, and ADD YOUR OWN INSIGHT TO THEM. Retweet interesting posts the professionals you follow, post or add your own insight to them. The main issue of importance here is to INTERACT on a PROFESSIONAL LEVEL with these people you now follow. Remember, these people are full of connections, and that is what Twitter is about! Try to make actual connections with these people.

4.) Keep your eye out for job and internship posts. And, don’t be afraid to ask a professional (through direct messages) for suggestions on how to get in touch with an industry/company you’re interested in. Most people want to help others, if you genuinely ask for help, someone will answer the call.

Hope this helps, there really isn’t much too it and it is that simple. It’s going to take time and effort, but it may be worth it in the long run. Remember, Twitter is an extension of yourself, and it can be used for professional benefit and to meet people while making connections that would otherwise be impossible.

Call me old fashioned, but I am one of those people that value community and relationships with people. As a child of the 90’s, I’ve learned to adapt to our technological age where we can keep up-to-date with people without ever seeing them in person. While this is not my preferred method of contact, the last couple of years I have seen myself rely more and more on online interaction than face-to-face. Recently though, I’ve been frustrated with the alienation of social networking sites to the point of taking some extreme measures, especially regarding Twitter.

I originally signed up for Twitter as a way to keep in touch with those interested in my history blog and network with those who have blogs similar to mine. As more and more of my friends on Twitter found me, I found myself following and being followed by people I knew in real life. While this wasn’t bad at first, I soon found myself “unfollowed” by those I was following. People I knew in real life wouldn’t follow me. Then, of course, people who knew nothing about me or my blog began to follow me out of the blue. This might be a provocative statement, but I believe this is due to the fact that Twitter is becoming more of a popularity contest than a real way to connect with people. No big surprise there. Anyone on Twitter can relate to the obsession of getting more followers. While this may be “cool” to have 10,000 followers and only follow about 300, it is an immediate turn off when viewing someone’s profile. Obviously, someone like that doesn’t, or even can’t, interact with over 10,000 followers.

I soon found this game of following and unfollowing pretty exhausting and disheartening. It wasn’t creating any sort of networking or connections with people I wanted. So I decided to take actions that could be called pretty extreme:

The first thing I did was block those who did not seem interested in me or my blog at all. It is pretty obvious which tweeters were just following me to see if I would follow them back. I don’t want to be reduced to a statistic on their profile.

I unfollowed those who did not follow me back. If they are not interested in following me back, then fine. I allowed a few exceptions for those I really wanted to follow, of course. Overall, though, I’ve found many bigger name organizations and tweeters are more than happy to follow me in exchange.

I’m pickier about who I allow to follow me on Twitter. If someone is genuinely interested in me or my blog, then I have no problem letting them follow me or reciprocate by following them back.
My Twitter updates consist of many different things, from my blog updates to interesting links. It’s good a variety for all types of people, but I want my connections to actually mean something.

I realize that Twitter should really be about more than who follows who but this obsession with getting followers seems to be the trend right now. I see it my social circles, both online and offline. It might be a little childish to take some of the measures I have, but I desire something more out of Twitter. Here are a few suggestions I have to make your Twitter experience better:

Be extremely picky about who you let follow you. Don’t just let people follow you just for the sake of doing so.

Make sure that people who follow you and who you follow seem genuinely interested in interacting with you.

Go through your followers and following list periodically. See if there are any tweeters you want to stop following or keep from following you. Make sure that you are still interested in those you follow.

Make a sincere effort to interact with those you follow. Getting connected with others is what Twitter is all about, right?

What about you? How have you made your Twitter experience more meaningful?

In a growing remote-administration society, more professionals are operational from their home offices opposed to public workspaces. Much of this has to do with the fact that a lot of what can be accomplished in a virtual office setting can be administered from your personal laptop, PC, or Mac. Whether you’re the Website administrator, analyst, the online marketing sales consultant, web copy writer, or the social media wiz, most of your efforts can be conducted from the Internet window on your desk – your computer screen, that is. All of us, who have made the Internet our professional home away from home, know exactly what I’m talking about when I say, “Oh, it’s easier just to send a quick email.” Not all (of us) are “people persons” when it comes to face-to-face communicating. We stutter, clam up, or are reduced to babbling buffoons because the words don’t come as easily to us in a one-on-one or God forbid, public speaking forum. And for those of us who have had to stand affront of a large audience know what it means to have sweat beads dot the top of your lips, clammy palms, and even goose bumps down the back of your spine. Your nerves go into hyper drive just having the mere thought that you’re going to have to speak with a big crowd, or have an important one-on-one with a client, boss, co-worker, or subordinate. No, we don’t intentionally have these physical reactions, but for some of us, this magnified fear becomes so constricting that we would rather “live” on the Internet than further our professional reach and growth potential.

The biggest misconception is that because you “work on the Internet” you won’t have to physically interact with other individuals. After all, you have email, Yahoo! Chat, Twitter, FaceBook, and Digg (among other social media outlets) at your disposal – why on Earth would you need to actually speak (gulp!) in person with anyone? Well, unless you plan on staying in the same position for the rest of your life or you don’t require a profession that earns a competitive income, then you may want to reconsider your feelings…rather, your social phobia. Say what? Yes, you in the miniature cubicle at the back of the office or you in the pajamas sitting affront of your home office desk – I am talking to you. You’ve become an Internet recluse, a slave to social media, and the online taskforce. The good news is that you can facilitate all the social media networking skills that you’ve learned online in real-world work settings. How?

Here are five tips to employ social networking in real-world careers:

1. If you’re an online copy writer or content developer, much of what you write is based on multimedia research, as well as telecommunications (and some in-person interviews). You’re the brains behind the articles and publications. How do you communicate your ideas, analysis, and subject matter? If you’re like me, you try to put your new found knowledge into intelligent, but laymen terms. No one wants to hear psychoanalytic mumbo-jumbo in everyday dialogue. So when we talk to each other in person, we try to convey our thoughts, ideas, and philosophies on the level with those whom we are speaking. Remember your audience; and focus on what their attention, wants, and comprehensive skills are. When you do, you are equipping your listeners (and readers) with interesting and empowering information.

2. Web tech? So you’re the behind-the-scene’s guy – you know the one who writes all the technical coding like CSS and cold fusion (among others). It’s one of those fields where you don’t get a lot of one-on-one contact, so it can become very tedious and lonely sometimes. Your work day is comprised of data, data, and more data. By the time your workday is complete, your brain feels like it’s been sucked from your head. This particular position can sometimes infringe on your mindset and communication methods. With all that data locked in your cranium, it’s hard to get out of code mode. Here’s a quick tip: Don’t talk about your hands-on work unless you absolutely must. Talk about the projects you’ve finished, how you’ve helped Websites function more fluidly, and the traffic that your project has gained since you’ve transformed it. Bottom line is that higher-ups are results-oriented, so when you talk in those terms, you’re more likely to communicate more efficiently than you would speaking about the day-to-day perils of Website scripting. Of course, depending on the individual to whom you are addressing, you can also put your brain power on tap. Be the answer-guy (or gal), who is the go-to person when help is needed. It’s amazing what web knowledge that brain of yours contains.

3. Web administrator? If you’re the person who manages content uploads like articles, photographs, editorials, and other content (including reciprocal links) you sometimes find that it can be quite a repetitious chore. It’s always interesting, though, to read what others have written, how they’ve written it, and the types of antics some folks use to get their content or web links published. Use these everyday scenarios to describe what you do to others. Oft times, what may seem monotonous to us is quite intriguing to others. Without disclosing private information, you can relay information on how you personally responded to individuals you’ve had to reject or approve. How you’ve strategically managed your time and what action plans have worked for you to address your daily to-do list can help others cope with their own variable time tables. Remember, there are many lines of work. Yours is unique. What would you tell others about you and the work that you do to help them understand the nature of your character and your duties?

4. Social Media Wiz? You’re the perfect candidate to speak your mind and let others know about your line of work. As the Glam-Gal of the social media community, you’re on top of your networking game. You know how to communicate online like an experienced leader would with his people. Suddenly, you’re thrown into the real world and you get a sudden case of mouth-constipation or worse, mouth-diarrhea. What happened to that charming, intelligible person who was instant messaging me about the latest brand in social networking just yesterday? She’s flown the coupe because just like other online careers that require little or no face time, she’s forgotten what in-person communicating is all about. First – let’s breathe a minute or two. Second, stop and think about what you’re going to communicate to others. You use your mind quite well while you’re online at social media sites like Twitter, FaceBook, and FriendFeed (and others). Be the same superstar you are online during interpersonal dialogue. Again, know your audience. Uncover the message they want to hear. Speak. Slowly. Effectively. Remember what your college professor told you in class about public speaking? Imagine that every one is nude. I do it all the time and it works wonders for me. Of course I might giggle a bit but that’s okay; laughter is a great anecdote to public shock.

5. Online Entrepreneur. If you’re the business-savvy chic or dude, who knows how to sell seashells on the seashore, then you probably don’t need much advice on how to sell or market your product…or do you? In most cases, you’ve already dealt with person-to-person sales in a retail setting so you’ve got the market cornered with your great social skills, right? Nope. After you’ve been selling online for an extended period of time, you may fall out of the groove of in-person communications. As humans, we quickly adapt to most environments because it’s our self-preserving nature to do so. However, when you’ve acclimated yourself to a particular way of life or situation (including eCommerce), you become complacent with the day-to-day web communications and social media networking dialogue. Being a natural salesperson, you’ll want to attract potential sponsors to your site and the best way to do that is to demonstrate that your eCommerce site is not only doing well, but that you know your brand and your product like the back of your hand. That’s where person-to-person, key communication skills come into play. Want to brush up on those skills? As with all IT careers, it’s a good idea to get out and enjoy the public. Take a walk in a local park, go skating at a nearby rink, or host a neighborly barbecue or picnic every now and then. It’s good to take a break from any Internet routine because it gives you real-live experiences and encounters that you can’t get online.

What’s the buzz about “Web 2.0″?

While some individuals have strong opinions on what it actually encompasses, there’s much to learn about Web 2.0 technologies and tools that are, whether you know it or not, affecting your everyday surfing experience on the World Wide Web.

As the Internet continues to explode with the revolution of second-generation web services, web development, and design applications, we have arrived center stage of the culmination of today’s innovators, entrepreneurs, and visionaries who have transformed the way we travel the Internet highways and byways; and the spatial views that we encounter and in the ways we interact.

How?

Web 2.0 has triumphantly made its strong debut via online social networking communities and book marking sites like YouTube, Twitter, FaceBook, MySpace, Imeem, Digg, Delicious, StumbleUpon, WordPress, TypePad, Blogger, and Google Reader, among other progressive stars on the Information Highway. The Netopia of creative Weblogs, social networks, multimedia sharing sites, RSS feeders, and keyword tags has dynamically altered the way we retrieve and share information.

Let’s put it in layman’s terms: Before the Internet, where did you go to get information on culture, cooking, fishing, dancing, health, sexuality, philosophy, politics, gossip, products, and services (among the plethora of other subject matter)? Well, if you’re like the rest of us, we turned to strict mainstream advertising venues like cable television, radio commercials, and print publications (i.e., newspapers, magazines, phone books, annuals, journals, etc.); and of course, the local library. Now, let’s throw all the “letters to the Editor” into the mix, as well as OpEds from local and renowned celebrity figures, and entrepreneurs. That’s kind of like Web 2.0. This new generation of user-generated content and software engineering collaboratively facilitates all of these technologies, data and more within the limitless avenues of the Super Information Highway.

Mainstream multimedia networks have surrendered (some reluctantly, some enthusiastically) to the formidable force of Web 2.0 simply because they can no longer maintain the demand of the Internet-using public. You’ll quickly discover that major outlets like CNN, MSNBC, FOX, CBS, the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and other media giants actively facilitate and engage users through Web 2.0 social networking sites (Twitter, FaceBook, etc.) because it’s one of the most interactive ways to attract people like you and me and get us involved in the loop.

Web 2.0 is the infinite and virtual library card index at your fingertips; adding a splash of political insight, a dab of comic wit, a spot of intuitive vision, and iconic players – professional and personal – all, who make a small (or large) contribution to the intricate web that continues to spin and expand like the infamous gyroscope.

What can you do with Web 2.0? Ah, the magical question. The power of this second-generation user interface network is as omnipotent as the brand that you are capable of creating through the engaging powers that exist freely for your personal and professional use. You are the captain of your own ship – the course that you choose to navigate through the World Wide Web can be smooth sailing or perilous – but that all depends on the nature of your personality and the direction you steer your catalyst.

I was just having a discussion the other day on facebook about how people are using automatic posting tools so heavily these days. They post something on their blog, and a tool (er, “bot) automatically publishes that post to Twitter, which then is connected to their facebook and friendfeed accounts and is repeated there.

Personally, I don’t mind if people use bots to make updates on Twitter or other social networking sites IF (and only if) they’re also diving in to real communication in those locations as well.

Twitter’s great for 140 characters of communication. It’s a blink of the eyes, in all reality. But when you’re auto posting and nothing else, you wind up looking like a billboard more than a social networker. Rather than someone who’s looking to connect and communicate, you’re looking like a guy with a megaphone on the street corner… you know?

Anyway, in comes this email about a post titled An In-Depth Look at the 5% of Most Active Users that reports that almost a quarter of Twitter’s updates are done by bots (automatic posting tools).

Of the most active Twitter users updating more than 150 times/day, nearly all of them are bots operated by sources such as hotels offering deals, regional and national news services, regional weather services, the top news within Digg, games, anim services, tags within del.icio.us and financial aggregators. These very active bots account for one-quarter of all tweets.

There are lots of other interesting Twitter facts there on the Sysomos site, and I encourage you to check them out! They’ve asked that if you’re interested in discussing the article on Twitter that you use the hashtag #sysomossurvey or copy them @sysomos.

Ironic, given today’s post by Chris Johnson about how to prepare for Twitter’s eventual demise, no?

What happened though, is people flocked to facebook, which in turn had its own share of problems as well. I’ve also seen reports that StumbleUpon has been acting wonky today.

Does someone have it out for social networking sites? Hmm…

If you’re new to online business and are trying to surf through the sometimes murky waves of the Internet, then the first thing you need to do is take a deep breath and relax. Nothing can get you more worked up than your own nerves doing a hoodoo number on your mind. I’m going to offer you a few tricks of the trade I’ve learned along the way and hope that you’ll benefit in some small way.

1. Market Research and Analysis: This is where successful marketing plans spring to action. Justifiably, clients (or buyers) must want to achieve specific goals, so usability and receptiveness are crucial components that ultimately become the deciding factor for potential purchases. Analyze your products and/or services. Obviously, you must have a great product or service to offer your potential buyer.

Here are a few questions you should ask yourself:

Consumer Demand: What is it about my product (or service) that makes it essential to consumers? What sets my product (or service) aside from other competitors or like products?

Communication/Presentation: Do I inform my potential consumers with detailed accuracy? Is my product (or service) being presented in its best light? Can I improve its viewer-ability?

Amenities: Do I offer any special tools or tips (e.g., videos, workshops, eBooks, etc.) that enhance my products and/or services?

Accessibility: Is my product (or service) easily accessible and within reach?

Branding: Do I have a memorable slogan/brand? (e.g., Wendy’s “Where’s the Beef?”)

Quality/Affordability: Is my product (or service) affordable, and does it offer quality? Are financing or other loan options available?

2. Strategic Planning and Implementation: Examine your current marketing and advertising campaign to determine the best way to meet and exceed consumer expectations and demand. Try to discern which tactics are working and which ones aren’t. That doesn’t mean you have to entirely abandon the processes that you are utilizing, but it does mean that you might need to take a second approach as to how you go about your day-to-day web operations. After you’ve explored trends, applications, and web 2.0 marketing strategies, it’s time to jot down a plan of action to create real sustainable wealth in your professional business. Remember too, that two heads are always better than one; so get a professional (or personal) opinion from a friend or colleague to get her reaction on your commercial appeal.

3. Website Development and Promotion: The most critical aspects of marketing your product or service online are to know the foundation of Internet marketing and how to successfully harness the power of the World Wide Web at the stroke of your fingertips. How? Since the conception and birth of the Internet, advertising has taken on dramatically new angles, and is steadily climbing to popular ranks among the masses.

While large audiences still prescribe to network and cable television programs, the Web audience is growing by leaps and bounds. Aside from being a vital instrument for student and professional research projects, the Internet has become an ever-expanding media outlet for entertainment, information, work and direct-advertising. By integrating all points of a strategic marketing campaign, virtual web advertising agencies are able to assist clients with interactive ad campaigns that help promote exposure to clients (services and/or products).

In addition to frugal facilitation of free online marketing tools like PR-Inside.com, Free-Press-Release.com, and various online article distribution sites, Web 2.0 technologies are reinventing the way online businesses and professionals perform and succeed in today’s tough economic environment.

* Emerging web 2.0 technologies (e.g.: Twitter, FaceBook MySpace, LinkedIn, VOX, Me2everyone; Google Reader, FriendFeed, Mixx, Reddit, StumbleUpon, Blip.fm, YouTube, HolisticTwitter, InSocialMedia, Wordpress, eBlogger, etc.) are excellent networking tools to help brand you and your services (or products). *Psst…Twitter is my personal favorite social networking site, but I’m not telling anyone!

Don’t forget to utilize Meta tags and basic hotmail coding including anchor text links and linked graphics to enhance your web presence and visibility. This means using keyword/keyword phrase-rich, original content as copy and as distributable articles to assorted article-hosts.

To your success!

Now that you’ve joined the twitter bandwagon, you’re trying to figure out the best way to attract quality followers to your twittosphere. I don’t know too many folks who want a wave of spam bots following them, but sometimes that’s what we might end up with if we’re not careful with our twitter approach. What’s a twitter newbie to do when she’s new to the twitter-scene? Use the following twitter tips to create a presence that’s both clear and notable:

1. Did you create your twittosphere for a professional agenda? Identifying your niche market is the first key to attracting the audience you want on twitter. It’s also the most excellent way to develop enticing tweets to engage twitter users. If you’re on twitter for pure professional grounds, then you must offer tweets that invite potential clients. Remember, consumers (whether in virtual time or real time) want value for their purchasing dollar. As a professional twitter-tweeter, you must provide quality and relative information regarding your product (or service). And just like any bricks-and-mortar business, friendly small talk is in order. Tell twitter users about yourself — how you got started in your business, why you got started in your business, why you feel strongly about your business, who facilitates your business, and what makes your business a step ahead of the grain. Add a splay of links to your Website…but tread carefully; too much of a good thing isn’t always the best method to earn patronage. Offer links to associated information as well. There’s a right way and there’s a wrong way to achieve professional success on twitter. If every tweet contains a link, you’re probably talking at your twitter base – that’s the wrong way. If your tweets offer engaging dialogue, a random splay of links, and an answer/question-type format, you’re communicating with your twitter base - that’s the right way.

2. I joined twitter to establish friendships. If you joined twitter simply for personal reasons, then you’ve got just about free reign on how you approach your twittosphere. Common sense, however, plays a major role in how you develop and expand your personal twitter network, too. Don’t be the twitter playground bully and expect people to like you. If you come onto the twitter playing field to simply dump your negative energy, then you won’t attract quality friendships. Instead, you get what you receive: misery loves company.

Monkey-see, monkey-do… Our twitter followers often mimic our personalities (and visa vie) to some degree. For example, if you share music through Blip.fm or other twitter-aligned musical sites, you’ll find that your followers are more than likely music connoisseurs. If you like baking pies and pastries, your followers can probably offer you the latest recipe for homemade apple pie. And that is what it’s really all about; twitter — that is. Twitter is the social networking scene that allows ordinary…and sometimes extraordinary folks to strike common grounds in a mutual network of millions. Where else in the world can you go and have the opportunity to touch the mind, heart, and spirit of multi-generational cultures, creeds, and races?

3. Love…American style: I want to find true love on twitter. While twitter is a great social networking portal, I can’t say whether or not true love has blossomed on this media giant. Just like any social scene, individuals must exercise caution when attempting to develop any relationship – personal or otherwise. Unless you can confirm a potential significant other’s intent beyond a shadow of a doubt – tread carefully. In today’s fast-paced virtual society, we get easily side-tracked by the now-moment of time. This often translates into making ourselves readily vulnerable to online predators, which have less-than-desirable intentions. Don’t offer personal information (home phone number, address, etc.) unless you absolutely trust an individual. Just because it’s twitter, doesn’t make it safer.

4. Trying to expand your group’s reach? If you’re like other hobby-loving creatures of habit, then twitter is perfect for you and the expansion of what it is you like to do. It’s also an excellent venue to expand outreach for independent causes like cancer, the Humane Society, and Eco-friendly organizations, among others. If your intention is to acquire more members and/or support of your cause, twitter gives you the perfect platform to get in contact with interested individuals. On twitter, you can post your concerns, your needs, and your goals. Learn who is researching resolutions, how you can become part of the solution, and where you can go to learn more. That works, too, if you’re offering information and resources about your group. But again, remember to keep your conversations light and friendly. Too much chatter and not enough dimensions to your communication can be a real buzz-kill.

5. I want to explore my philosophical side on twitter. Now that’s a topic I can personally get into. On twitter, there’s an explosion of diversity. From orthodox religious individuals to those seeking Zen enlightenment — spirituality and philosophy is alive and well here. Twitter is home to psychologists, spiritual mentors, personal and professional coaches, psychics, astrophysicists, astrologists, astronomers, actors, musicians, clerics, engineers, and more. The best part about the twitter climate is that every one has something to offer to the virtual hemisphere of knowledge. Teaching and learning is an everyday occurrence on twitter because it’s almost guaranteed that you will learn something new each time you login. And if you’re a real people-person, you’ll be able to share your ideas, philosophies, theories (and maybe conspiracies)…and in return, you’ll gain a wealth of retrospection, investigation, and potential answers.

Most importantly, keep it real on twitter. Don’t go beyond your area of expertise. Don’t lead individuals on with superficial tweets. Don’t give advice when no one has asked for it. Don’t be rude. And yes, learn how to “listen” on twitter before you respond; part of being a good communicator, means knowing what to tweet and when to tweet it.
