I'm really glad you mentioned Blood:Water. It seems they typically get overlooked in posts like these because they didn't rise to prominence through Twitter. They're doing some amazing work in Africa.

Some great causes, but as a couple of other people have mentioned, no 12for12k?

* 12 months in 2009
* 12 different charities
* Aims to raise $12,000 per charity

I'd say that's a pretty unique cause on its own right there.

Learning of this has been an incredible surprise and a gift. The economy is causing many people to re-think their charitable giving, The survival of Amazon Community Animal Rescue, Education and Safety is a great accomplishment. Nonetheless, to have a complete stranger notice our work is the icing on the cake! Thank you for this honor.

Sincerely,
Molly Mednikow

I feel slighted! #AMHF (A Million High Fives).

Actually, I'm just kidding. I didn't know about some of these charities, so thank you Paul for the recommendations! I am now following each of them.
